Cupholder version—works great with MagSafe.Note:- requires USB-C power 5v @ 2A or 9v @ 1.67A (more amps is fine but does not increase output)- output 5W or 7.5W (according to the manual)- requires a MagSafe compatible iPhone- requires a MagSafe compatible case (if using a case)- this accessory makes the most sense with wireless CarPlay or no CarPlay at allTested with a Spigen MagSafe case. MagSafe connection is solid. Does not seem to get any warmer than usual. Charging starts automatically. It generally outputs enough power for my phone to hold a charge. If you require a faster charge or wired CarPlay, you can use a separate wired cable—iPhone prioritizes wired charging over wireless. If your car doesn’t have a compatible USB-C socket, you will need a separate adaptor.2023 Honda Accord specific:- factory USB-C port (5V @ 3A) worked intermittently; I ended up using a separate USB-C adapter- iPhone Face ID works, i.e. it’s the correct angle and distance to enable face unlock when mounted- much better than the factory wireless charger (no alignment issues)- compatible with wireless CarPlay if you have itBottom line—works but charges slowly. You may need a separate USB-C adapter.

I found this to be the best mount from Spigen. It installs easily and securely and the arm that holds the magnetic mount is nice and stiff; it doesn’t bow or slump due to the weight of the iPhone when attached. Also, I’d purchased the charging-equipped version of the suction cup dash/window mount from the same company and it would not keep adhesion to the dash; as soon as I added the phone, it would pop off the dash or window, regardless of how I chose to mount it. I bought the magnet-only, no-charger version of this cup-holder mount, and the charger from the dash mount fits the cup holder mount — it’s the exact same ball/socket attachment on both mounts. Just a “head’s up” for anyone else who might be in the same situation.

It has peeled off twice now. My iPhone 13 Pro Max seems to be too heavy for it. I used the the adhesive they provide both times including the spare that comes with it. Now I can’t return the item, took me too long to try it. Update: I have always bought Spigen products when it comes to phone accessories. No more! What a cheap customer service, after telling them 1000 times that the car mount was falling off because of the adhesive guess what they sent me in the mail? After telling me I would get a “replacement” I got a piece of adhesive, exactly like the one that came with it. Guess what happened? It fell off again! This is why they have the upgraded version on here for you to buy but they will not send you one. Money wasted, and will never buy Spigen again, you just lost a long time customer.

It’s OVERPRICED for what it is. It doesn’t charge as fast as the ESR. Time will tell if the adhesive in the back of the screen will hold up or stay put. Well made and feels sturdy enough.

Spigen products are great and this is no exception. I was nervous when I got it and it says that it’s for a Tesla but, it works just as well for my Mustang Mach E. The fitment is nice and firm, hugging my infotainment screen. The adjustable arm and mount allows you to adjust it to multiple angles, making the positioning perfect. Best mount I’ve had so far! I wish they would have included an alcohol pad for cleaning the surface but, I was able to source that myself. A+ mount!

If you’re using a heavier phone combined with a bulky case and prefer mounting it vertically behind the console, you might find that the adhesive pad struggles to maintain its grip over time, ultimately resulting in your phone falling. Please consider this when making your purchase decision.

The product as a whole works well. It holds up your phone and charges your phone. However, I’ve had this holder for less than two months, and it just fell down while I was driving and cannot be reattached because adhesive is no longer sticking.

  8. Sidtjohnson

Very stable, even with my phone connected. I like the ability to have my phone on different orientations with a push of a button.

Moves a lot in the cup holder but overall not bad. The charging pad also has the cord permanently attached so when the cord goes you can’t use the charger

I ened up just using it as a phone holder because the wireless charge kept cutting out I’m not sure if it was overheating or what, other wireless chargers work fine. so I just ran a wired cable for my phone when needed. It mounts well to the back of the screen and hold my s24+ with magnetic case just fine. It’s a nice premium metal feel and doesn’t sag or droop or drop my phone.
