In addition to the power and range upgrades, Polestar also made some changes to the 2’s handling. The single-motor model is now rear-wheel drive, and the dual-motor model has a more rear-biased all-wheel drive system. This should make the 2 more fun to drive, especially on twisty roads.
We’ve driven the first generation performance variant and loved everything about it, except the fact that the steering wheel rack ratio felt too slow for such a sporty car. It really is a treat if you’re interested in a somewhat small, but practical EV. We’re excited to get behind the wheel of the updated Polestar 2 and see how it performs. But until then, we can only imagine how much fun it will be to drive.
